About our Inert Gas Generators

The SSIGG Inert Gas Generator is used to inertise areas of the underground mine to mitigate any explosive mixtures of gas present. Primarily used in seal ups of GOAFS they can also be used in emergencies to extinguish underground fires.

Boiler Gas compliments nitrogen. Nitrogen rises. Boiler gas inerts - lower part of seam.

Fired SSIGG Inert Gas Generators

SSIGG Fired Inert Gas Generators are manufactured in Brisbane, Australia by an experienced team with a dedicated project manager featuring built to clients’ needs.

Quality and readily available components

• All the structural frame and chassis components are made from Australian steel and are built in Australia

• The burner is Dual Fuel which enables it to be run on coal seam gas reducing the running costs on a coal mine site dramatically. The machine can also be run on Diesel for locations that are remote or have limited access to coal seam gas. The machine is fully automated and will self-regulate fuel mixtures to follow the desired set point, the SSIGG Inert Gas Generator can also be controlled via the Citect system remotely as well as manually controlled by an IGG operator

• The machines are fully compliant with Australian Mine site standards and feature a fold-up access walkway with hand rails

Integrated double-lined belly fuel tank with leak detection monitoring

25% increase in gas makeover previous models utilizing new construction technologies and control systems

• VFD drive on the Liquid Ring compressor with direct coupling so that flow rates can be controlled as needed and eliminating the belt drives to reduce maintenance and spare parts costs

• New compact design includes lifting capabilities to reduce the risks and costs involved with machine transport and relocation costs. The IGG can be raised by hydraulic stab jacks to allow a trailer to be maneuvered underneath it instead of a high risk high, cost crane lift. The stab jacks can also be utilised to level the machine when setting it up, further reducing risks and costs

24hr onsite service is also available by competent and authorised Trades

SSIGG Membrane N2 Generators

• Custom built, utilising quality and readily available components.

• The SSIGG N2 Generators can be built to any size for gas flow needed.

• We are also developing new technologies to further utilise coal seam gas to run the N2 Generators and Compressors so that the whole N2 generating system can be efficiently run off coal seam gas which dramatically reduces operating cost, environmental impacts and reduce the mine sites carbon footprint.
